Victorian Elegance Meets Modern Living
This new-build home in Co. Tyrone was designed over three years, with the kitchen planned from the earliest architectural stages to ensure every detail was structurally integrated
The brief called for timeless in-frame cabinetry, strong cooking capability, excellent storage and a layout that worked beautifully for entertaining — but the true hero of this project became something far more discreet: secret cabinetry doors
The cabinetry is hand-painted and paired with walls in Farrow & Ball – Card Room Green, a muted heritage green.
Additional finishes include:
Dark oak internal cabinetry
Natural stone worktops
Brass hardware and Quooker tap
These richer, layered finishes add contrast and depth — particularly when the hidden doors open to reveal the darker oak interiors.
A Kitchen That Works — and Lasts
Built using in-frame construction and hand-painted on site, this kitchen is designed for longevity.
The cabinetry can be touched up or fully repainted in the future, ensuring it evolves with the home.
Additional key elements include:
A statement gloss black Aga range
Full-height in-frame cabinetry
Curved bespoke cabinetry with seamless beading
A central curved banquette that softens the layout
The symmetry and detailing ensure the hidden doors disappear completely into the design.
